Snowdonia
A nearly completely dry day today, incredible. Very little sun though, but it was noticably warmer than the last few days.
Near Bangor I climbed up to the Hen Dinas hillfort which turned out to be inaccessible. The road I thought was leading up to it is actually the entrance to a farm next to it. Access to the site itself is impossible.
That was a bit of a let down. However, my mood improved soon when I entered Snowdonia near Llanberis. Next came the climb up the Perry Pass under the eyes if thousands of sheep and at least one ibex.
The cycle routes I intended to take were hit and miss. Tarmaced sections alternated with gravel ones and frequent dirt roads. Especially the descents were slow and tedious so toward the end I chose the main road instead to save time. Nevertheless I had tons of climbing fun with many brutally steep sections.
Staying at Dolgellau under Cadair Idris.
