Departing from the town of Alta north of the arctic circle, this year's first objective is to follow the coast south to reach Tolga by July. Starting out in mid June is a conscious decision. It maximizes riding in the polar night, at the cost of slightly worse weather conditions. There's just nothing like the total freedom of riding in bright skies at any time during the day.
